The second classmate gave me advice on this page because at that time I was really not good at doing research. And then I asked her how to make it look more harmonious because I think that the layout was very empty. she told me that I can actually develop more in this drawing style because I feel good with oil pastels, so I added a lot of oil pastels. For example, I added two cups, the cups on this page not only symbolize that people loved tea during the Rococo period. In fact, I took this tea of screenshot from the movie Marie Antoinette. At that time, Marie Antoinette’s uncle came to visit him in France, and then she introduced this tea to her uncle. This tea is called Jasmine tea. Only nobles can drink this kind of tea because it is imported from China and it also symbolizes noble things.
Since I decided to learn textile design. I don’t think about the structure of the garment in the first place when I saw one thing. However, I actually think about how to turn it into a beautiful sample or fabric. Thus I drew it on this page and this thing that looks like fabric but also very much like a cake.
The painting on the right is actually a cake drawing on the left, but I wanted to paint it in an abstract way. At first, I wanted to paint it with oil painting to create a hazy feeling but considering oil painting that it was too difficult to dry. I decided to replace it with acrylic paint, although acrylic paint can’t make it feel like oil painting, so I add oil pastel to make it look like oil pastel.
